Data & privacy notice
Version: 2026-10-14. This notice describes how the current platform handles data and access.
Account and learning data
We store your email, nickname, avatar, salted password hash, login sessions, progress, vocabulary reviews, exercise and exam answers, assessment reports, companion decorations and feedback. Passwords are not stored as plain text. The companion keeps the latest 24 conversation entries and unfinished learning goals for each volume so you can continue later.
When you use AI or the microphone
- Text tutoring and writing feedback may send your input, relevant course excerpts, level and necessary conversation context to the configured DeepSeek / Alibaba Cloud models to produce a reply. Do not enter identity documents, payment information or unnecessary private information.
- Reading assessment sends your recording and reference text to iFLYTEK. The platform turns the results into learning suggestions. Voice calls pass through our server relay to Alibaba Cloud for speech recognition and companion speech; transcribed turns are also sent to the text tutor model.
- These services require your confirmation of this data notice in Account & security. You can withdraw it to stop further use. Microphone use requires browser permission. Audio is sent only when you start a recording or connect a call, and capture stops when you stop or hang up. Raw live-call audio is not written to long-term platform storage. Exam speaking recordings are saved for playback, checking and grading.
Cloud deployments use Vercel, Turso and object storage. Processing locations depend on administrator configuration and may involve international transfers. This platform does not make promises on behalf of providers about their retention or model training policies. Before opening the service to students, the operator must verify provider agreements, regions and applicable requirements.
Retention and cleanup
- Account and learning records remain until account deletion or administrator action on your request. Clearing companion history resets the current volume’s conversation and learning goal.
- Unsubmitted cloud recordings enter the cleanup queue after 24 hours. Exam recordings enter it after 30 days. Cleanup jobs perform deletion and retry failures. Expired audio may no longer be available for playback; grades and written feedback remain.
- Service event records without student audio or message contents are retained for 30 days, and acknowledged alerts for 90 days, then removed by cleanup jobs. Anonymous usage totals are retained to prevent deletion and re-registration from bypassing site allowances. Backups and provider copies are outside immediate self-service file deletion; deleted accounts must be handled before any backup restore. Do not interpret deletion as instant erasure of every copy.
Your controls
In Account & security, download personal data, change your password, sign out other devices or request deletion. You can revoke microphone permission in the browser. Deletion disables the account immediately, then removes records and cloud recordings; failed cleanup remains visible to administrators. Use the feedback entry to report data or content concerns.
Contact and feedback
A public contact email has not been configured. Signed-in users can use platform feedback; the operator must publish a working contact before a public launch.
